Katrina Kaif to romance Kamal Haasan. It seems Katrina Kaif is not only in demand in Bollywood but also down south. Recently, it was heard that she might sign Kochadaiyaan with the superstar Rajinikanth, and now, reports suggests that she is approached for a film opposite the talented Kamal Haasan. The actress is likely to be part of the project, titled Thalaivan Irukkindran, that will mark the return of the duo Aascar Ravichandran and Kamal Haasan, and the makers are keen to have Shankar as director for the magnum opus. Sources further add, “It looks like talks are on with A R Rahman as well to score the music for this larger-than-life movie.” If all goes well then we might see the oh-so-beautiful Katrina Kaif with Kamal Haasan in this big budget Tamil film. But as for now talks are on with the actress, who is a bit tied up with two films: one is with Shahrukh Khan, while another one (read Dhoom 3) is with Aamir Khan. After finishing his ambitious project Viswaroopam, Kamal is gearing up for Ravichandran’s film, which is also said to be the highest-budget film ever made in Tamil cinema. Thalaivan Irukkindran will also have two other versions which are going to be made simultaneously. If Telugu version will star Prabhas, the Malayalam version will have Mohanlal in the lead. Insiders even claim that if everything works out perfectly then the movie might have a Hindi version as well. Hollywood action star Jackie Chan is also expected to do a key role in the film. Whoa! the jamboree just got bigger!

Earlier, we had reported about Katrina Kaif item number in Karan Johar’s new production
Agneepath, which also stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt.
Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, the gorgeous item girl, Katrina Kaif folk dances to a
Maharashtrian number, Lavani.
“I hope and pray it becomes bigger than any of the previous item songs. As actors, we love doing
better than what’s been done in the past. I don’t think there’s anything wrong in expecting that,”
says Katrina, who wrapped up the shoot of her Agneepath item song Chikni Chameli on Wednesday.
She adds, “Now, I’m waiting to see the audience’s reaction. It’s a desi-rustic number. I’m keeping my 
fingers crossed.”

Vidya Balan in ‘Kahaani’!

The actress essays the role of a pregnant woman ho is in search of her missing husband.
Major part of the film has been shot in Kolkata. Director Sujoy Ghosh tweeted,  
“KAHAANI was shot in all real locations. No budget to build set. In Kolkata its totally impossible
to shoot real but we did it:)”
Sujoy Ghosh had written the script of the film keeping Vidya in mind.
In the first look of Kahaani, with the background of the famous Howrah bridge, Vidya is shown pregnant, having a tired look on her face.
No one better than Vidya would be able to pull off a role like this.

While talking to a daily, Bipasha let her cannons loose and animatedly talked about her bikini look in the movie Players, and answered why Sonam Kapoor is not seen in the itsy-bitsy two-piece and it is she (Bipasha) who ups the oomph quotient with her red bikini and fab toned body. “We were made to have a race. Whoever won the race, would get to wear a bikini,” she said, “I won, simple!” The winner of the race is the fittest one. That’s Bipasha for you: cool and funny. But on a serious note, Bipasha is flattered to receive compliments galore on her hot bod. “I haven’t felt fitter in my life,” she says. Doesn’t Zarine Khan have a body for bikini?

What’s so great about donning a bikini? Zarine Khan perhaps thinks so and is in no mood to flaunt a bikini as she feels she doesn’t have a perfect body.

Why so, Zarine? We loved you in the song Character Dheela and you looked so fit and fab. The Veer beauty has trashed the rumours that she will be sporting a bikini in the Housefull sequel. In the first part, the three actresses, whether it was Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta or Jia Khan, all sported a two-piece. Thus speculations were rife that Zarine will also slip into a bikini for the sequel.

“There is no bikini scene in the film and moreover I haven’t got a body for it,” confirms the actress, who was even called Fatrina (a fatter version of Katrina Kaif) during her Veer days.

Then why gym-shym, Zarine? Isn’t she working hard on her body for Housefull 2? The actress says it is because her character needs to look glamorous, and also she wants to be at par with the other heroines. Aha...competition!

Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi in 'The Dirty Picture'

The new trailer of Milan Luthria’s film The Dirty Picture focuses on the chemistry between Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi.

The trailer begins with a dialogue from Vidya Balan and then proceeds to show her rise to fame. We see Vidya mock-whip herself in a raunchy film as the front-benchers watch with jaw-dropping disbelief. We see Emraan Hashmi seething at the adulation that Vidya gets from her fans.

There are also fleeting shots of Naseeruddin Shah and Tusshar Kapoor trying to flirt with Vidya.

But most of all, we see the lady herself, playing tennis, bathing, shooting in low-neck blouses and going on a date with Emraan Hashmi.

The film, slated to release on December 2, is based on the life of the south siren Silk Smitha who was the undisputed sex bomb of the 1990s.

Sexy Deepika Padukone ‘Race 2’

With the confirmation from Deepika Padukone that she is doing Race 2, all rumours surrounding the new hottie of the movie has come to an end.

Sirf Deepika mangta hai! Yes, no Priyanka Chopra, Jacqueline Fernandez or Sonakshi Sinha, only Deepika Padukone. The makers of Race 2 are happy to have Deeps on board, as she was the original choice.

Why only Deepika? A source says, “After Katrina Kaif’s sizzling chemistry in Race, the producers and directors were keen to take the sizzle quotient to the next level in the sequel. And Deepika has that oomph and sex appeal to take that chemistry a couple of notches ahead.”

However, there were rumours that Deepika has opted out from the sequel as her date diary went chockfull after she signed Ayaan Mukherjee’s film Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani last month. There were also reports that the makers of Race 2 were considering Priyanka Chopra for the role since Deepika couldn’t give her dates.

But the dates were sorted out and now Deepika has herself confirmed that she is part of Race 2.

Which means that Deepika will again share screen space with Saif Ali Khan with whom she has worked in Love Aaj Kal, Aarakshan and the upcoming film Cocktail. The actress is reportedly getting a hefty fee to act in the Race sequel.

The film is scheduled to release late next year, and Deepika has started shooting for it. She even tweeted, “And the 'RACE' begins...”

'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'

The film saw a nett collection of approximately Rs. 26 crore over its first weekend. It did a business of about Rs. 7.4 crore on Friday but racked up footfalls over the weekend. The occupancy went up and so did the jingle of money at the cash registers. The collections rose to Rs. 8.7 crore on Saturday and peaked at Rs. 10 crore on Sunday.

The critics have given mixed views about the film, but what matters for the makers at the end of the day is the numbers the film manages to crunch. If MBKD continues its run like this, it is on its way to be a hit, if not a superhit.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s Bodyguard continues to pull crowds to the theatres, though the craze surrounding the film has now substantially subsided. The film has so far done the business of just a little less than a whopping Rs. 130 crore.

The coming Friday would see the release of Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor’s Mausam. It is also expected to open well.

Kaif was born in Hong Kong to an Indian Kashmiri father, Mohammed Kaif, and an English mother, Suzanne Turquotte, both of whom are British citizens. Her parents divorced when she was very young. Kaif stated once, "my dad, unfortunately, and not out of choice, has had no influence on our upbringing, on our religious or social or moral bearings." Kaif has seven siblings. From Hong Kong, she and her family moved to China, then to Japan. Then from Japan (by boat) to France when she was 8, and also moved to Switzerland, Kraków, Berlin, Belgium, and many other East European countries where she and her family were there for a few months each. Then they moved to Hawaii, and eventually later moved to her mother's home country, England.
